Vintage Group Ride
Trail Permits
The Otsego River Riders Snowmobile Club has recently completed a new trail system addition which provides options for trail routes that range from 13 miles to 20, 30, 40 and 50 mile loops from Riverwood National Golf Course.
Any vintage or antique machine that is older than 25 years old will not need a Minnesota registration or trail sticker on the grounds, or on the trail. This special permit will be provided to you by our event. Any snowmobilers owning a machine newer than 25 years old with a valid registration from their own state or from Minnesota, will have to apply for a trail sticker through the Minnesota DNR. If you would like to do some snowmobiling outside of our event in Minnesota on your classic machine, be aware that Minnesota honors another state's snowmobile registration for up to 30 consecutive days of your stay in Minnesota. However, if your out-of-state snowmobile does not have any current registration than you would need to apply for the MN collector permit (free) or collector registration ($9.50). Your out of state snowmobile would also need the trail sticker to operate on state or grant-in-aid trails unless you have the MN collector snowmobile permit.
Vintage Group Ride
Weather-permitting, a group ride will take place starting at 1:00 for a 13 mile ride east towards Otsego and looping back to the Riverwood National Golf Course. Depending on the number of riders, we will break the riders up into smaller groups with the sleds which were in the Vintage Show leaving last, after the show is complete.
Remember, Vintage snowmobile riders can earn prize tickets for displaying their vintage sleds in the show, riding a vintage sled on the group ride, or showing and riding the same vintage sled. You are also welcome to stop by the businesses located on the short loop route.
